Ireland’s First Vidcast

After 28 hours of video editing (and some sleep in-between), Ireland’s first vidcast/vodcast has been produced by myself, Francis and Gareth.
Adobe premiere and VirtualDub are a pain to use. Especially exporting xvid.

Ubuntu

Just reinstalled ubuntu on my laptop and I must say that 5.10 “Breezy Badger” is pretty nice. It’s got proper power management support for my laptop now and I can use my wireless card in Ad-Hoc mode.
Ubuntu has to be the best desktop linux variant at the moment. I just hope their forays into enterprise [...]

Computer Woes

My desktop is on the brink, I’m getting more memory for it, but looks like a Windows reinstall is inevitable. My laptop windows installation became unusable a long time ago, and I am just after breaking the Ubuntu installation on it. So more re-installs there.
All round, my luck is down with computers at the moment.

Right now i’m trying to study but the constant noise of a helicopter flying overhead is EXTREMELY distracting and annoying. The reason the helicopter’s there? I went to see Buck 65 at the Village with Steven last night. It was an excellent gig. I realised that rap doesn’t have to be crap. I’m realising that all music genres have good stuff. It’s just that only the crap stuff appears in the mainstream. The McDonalds of music.
